A Perspective on Writing
I write because it is as natural to me as breathing.
I write because of some things; I am not able to speak.
I write because the little girl in me desperately wants to tell her story.
I write because I can.
I write to calm myself and to understand a life experience.
I write because it is a safe way to express my feelings.
I write to release the depths of my Soul.
I write as a private connection to the deeper me.
I write to tell the truth, to offer a glimpse into the life of an abused child.
I write so someone with similar experiences won’t feel like they’re the only one.
I write to cleanse my Soul of life altering memories.
I write because I have no choice but to write.
I write in the hopes that my words can make a difference in someone’s life.
I write simply for the unexpected insights that pen to paper bring.
Realizations that would never come to light without the act of writing.
